As an enthusiastic electronics engineer and entrepreneur, Bob has been self-employed since he was 19 years old, when he began his career in the foliage industry. He owned and operated Country Club Foliage, a 3 ½ -acre climate-controlled nursery that specialized in indoor foliage plants.
In the early 1980s, Bob took an interest in the perimeter security industry. After having been victimized by burglars, he began installing photoelectric beam detectors and CCTV equipment purchased from Assured Security Company, a small family-owned burglar alarm company located in.

In 1985, Bob purchased Assured Security Company and within a few years, he converted the firm into one of South Florida's premier security and alarm companies. Under his ownership and leadership, Assured became the state's third largest and most elite independent alarm security companies in the industry.
The firm employed more than 50 security professionals engaged in burglar alarm installations, 24-hour monitoring sales and service. Assured provided one of the most advanced state-of-the-art 24-hour U.L.-listed monitoring stations in the entire state.

During this period, Assured Security also specialized in the installation of all kinds of perimeter security systems ranging from fence detection, buried coax, microwave and the traditional hardwired photoelectric beams. Disenchanted with problems related to the traditional hardwired systems such as lightning, labor cost and the time needed to install and service large systems. Bob came to recognize that the security industry needed the implementation of solar and wireless communication.
In 1996, Republic Industries and billionaire Wayne Huizinga purchased Assured Security Company. Bob was free to expand his interests in the development and advancement of solar-powered technologies. He incorporated a new company named RFS Corp. (Remote Facility Security). RFS Corp. became the manufacturing company of the wireless solar-powered perimeter security system known today as the SPT2000 Solarbeam System.
Early in 1997, Bob partnered with long time friend and real estate broker Steven R. Shiver and established HS Gateway Holdings, Inc. The holding company allowed Bob and Steve to operate multiple companies under one roof.
In late 2000, Steve Shiver became County Manager of Miami-Dade County, Florida. As a county official, Steve had to divest his interest in the holding company in order to pursue his political career.
Because Bob's attention was focused on security and not real estate, Bob turned to his friend and company attorney, Michael J. Marcus. Mike was the legal counsel for all of the corporations and familiar with all aspects of the organization. Mike recognized the opportunity to help Bob continue with the Holdings organization and insure the real estate and security companies continue to grow. In 2001, Mike Marcus purchased Steve's interest in the company and continues to provide his expertise as co-owner and legal counsel to all the corporations.

Bob has done much to enhance Aressco's expansion from a local firm into an innovative international manufacturing company of perimeter security systems.
This year 2006, in an effort to streamline the concept and create a brand name for the Solarbeam products, Bob introduced Solarbeam Security LLC., The goal of this new division is to leverage the strength of the Solarbeam product lines and align the company as it shifts in its focus from a systems integration company to a single source systems manufacturer.
Solarbeam Security has adopted its new name as a statement of the brand value of its products and technology. Bob feel's it is a good time to capitalize on the momentum of our family of products."
"In conjunction with our aggressive sales and marketing strategies, Solarbeam Security is pursuing the development of a strong corporate identity that will accurately represent our company and its products to our clients and prospects," says Bob . "While our company focus is changing, all core elements of the organization will remain in place. Solarbeam Security will continue to provide our customers and partners a quality product with exceptional service."
