Solarbeam's wireless Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) has been successfully protecting large areas of farm and produce for over 14 years.  Protecting produce, livestock and equipment can be done quickly and cost effectively using Solarbeam's^™ patented solar powered towers. A typical 200 meter per side 4 tower system can protect as much as 10 acres and 8 towers as much as 40 acres.  The effective cost per acre typically reduces significantly as larger parcels are protected.  Once installed, there is little maintenance, simply making sure beam paths are clear from obstructions and that the outside of towers are cleaned periodically, to insure dust and dirt do not attenuate the beams.

Intrusions detection can be applied to detect both human and other types of unwanted intrusions deer, etc., and typically are configured so that smaller animals, raccoons, birds etc do not cause the system to alarm.

The solar power towers are easily deployed, and are mounted to a prefabricated cement base that is secured in a 2 ft x 1.5 ft deep hole.  Eight to ten towers per day can easily be anchored and operational with only a 2 person crew.
